Vasque also included a TPU stabilizer shank for a solid feel on uneven terrain and added a mid-height ankle to balance stability, flexibility, and weight. Topping off the whole package is Vasque's UltraDry waterproof and breathable membrane, which fends off afternoon thunderstorms and morning mud puddles with aplomb.
